Rates
The price you approve at confirmation is the price you pay plus a potential fuel surcharge. Your invoice is determined by the estimated aircraft flying time, plus landing/airport fees and any wait time associated with your desired itinerary. Flying Time
Our booking system records average flight time between destinations, based on the time of year you are flying. You are always charged that rate, even if actual winds cause flight times to extend. 2011 rates for travel in our brand new aircraft:
- Cirrus Aircraft (holds up to 3 passengers/550lbs of passengers and bags): $625/hour
- Baron Aircraft (holds up to 5 passengers/800lbs of passengers and bags): $800/hour
Fleet requires a daily minimum flying time of 1.5 hours for each aircraft.
Landing/Parking Fees
Some airports charge landing fees and ramp parking fees. These vary by location and are passed through to you at cost. As a general rule, major airports have much higher fees. Approximate cost:
- Regional Airports: $0-40
- Major Airports: $150-350
Wait Time
If you are making a short stop in a location, your Fleet pilot can wait for you at a low per-hour rate. Although approximate timeframe should be confirmed ahead of time, this is the only portion of your bill that will be variable and billed based on actual usage. Subject to availability during peak hours.
- $50/hour per pilot from 9am - 5pm
- $300 flat overnight fee, which includes pilot room & board
Fuel Surcharge
Fleet's 2011 flying rates are in part based on an Avgas rate of $6.54 from Signature Flight Services at Westchester County Airport (HPN). In order for Fleet to remain viable in light of variable and sometimes volatile fuel prices, should that fuel rate increase, we pass on the difference to the client, based on the actual usage. Our fuel price benchmark is reevaluated in early spring every year.
- It is our sincere hope that you will never experience the need for a fuel surcharge
- Fuel surcharges are passed through at cost. Fleet does not profit from these adjustments
- To calculate the charge, multiply the overage of current Signature fuel price from the $6.54 benchmark and multiply by number of gallons used
- Our Baron aircraft burn about 34 gallons an hour
- Our Cirrus aircraft burn about 14 gallons an hour
Ground Transportation
Fleet Aviation will gladly arrange for a taxi, limo, or car rental on your behalf as a complimentary service. You will be charged at cost, directly by the ground transportation provider.
