Fleet Aviation was founded by experienced and avid aviators from the financial and technology industry. Based on their past travel experiences, the founders were frequently dismayed by how much time was continually wasted using commercial airlines for regional travel: unpredictable traffic to the major airports, pre-flight arrival, crowded security (take the laptop out of it's case and remove your jacket, shoes and belts), missed connections, slow boarding, air traffic delays, slow deplaning and subsequent road travel.
In reality, executive jets with their high landing speeds, long runway requirements, and high hourly rates are impractical for regional travel. The founders knew that aircraft charter dramatically saved time, but it came with a high price and, unfortunately, was often associated with impractical corporate jets that generate a lot of monetary waste. They recognized the bottom-line is: travelers are seeking improved use of their time, but only at total-travel prices comparable to the airlines.
What was needed was an efficient and convenient on-demand air charter service that could serve all regional airports at seriously reasonable prices. To meet this challenge, the founders looked to the new generation of economical and technologically advanced piston planes equipped with modern, efficient engines and state-of-the-art composite construction. Balancing advanced aircraft technology with a client-focused service mentality on par with jet travel, Fleet Aviation was born.
